Delhi Wakes Up To Strong Winds, Light Rain, Thunderstorm Predicted

by admin

The weather department has predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall in the National Capital Region (NCR) and adjoining areas.

New Delhi:

Delhi witnessed strong winds and light rainfall this morning in a sudden weather change after an unusually hot February. The weather department had forecast a cloudy sky and thunderstorm in Delhi and nearby areas today.

Rainfall is expected in northwest and southwest Delhi, and adjoining areas of the National Capital Region, it had said.

The maximum temperature will fall by 2-3 degrees over 48 hours and rise thereafter over the northwestern plains, said yesterday’s weather bulletin. The maximum and minimum degrees in the national capital and nearby areas will be around 32 and 14 degrees, according to the forecast.

The average maximum temperature for February was 27.7 degrees, the highest for the month in 17 years. The unusual temperature was attributed to a lack of rain by weather experts.
